As part of developing the Natural Infrastructure Plan for Aotearoa New Zealand, The Aotearoa Circle is calling for examples that bring natural infrastructure to life - both existing projects and future opportunities.
We’re seeking existing projects (case studies) where natural infrastructure is supporting, enhancing, or replacing traditional built infrastructure, and delivering measurable benefits for our economy, environment, and communities.
We’re also looking for forward-looking opportunities - potential projects or locations where natural infrastructure could reduce risks and strengthen resilience. These might include natural infrastructure solutions that improve stormwater management, enhance biodiversity, or mitigate flood and drought impacts.
Our intent is to use these examples to support the business case for investing in natural infrastructure, helping to demonstrate the full spectrum of value that natural infrastructure can deliver for Aotearoa New Zealand.
If you would like to submit your existing project or future project, please complete our short survey by 30 October 2025.
Your insights will directly contribute to shaping the next phase of the Natural Infrastructure Plan.
