Natural Capital

Natural Capital Regional Resilience

This pilot project will help the Bay of Plenty protect itself from climate change and the degradation of nature by helping the region to understand its vulnerabilities and showing where further action and support is needed.

The Natural Capital Regional Resilience report details how climate and nature challenges intersect across regional systems and the coordinated actions that can be taken locally to build resilience across the pilot region, the Bay of Plenty.

This work includes a scalable, replicable framework to support climate adaptation planning across wider Aotearoa New Zealand.

The report will be released in August 2025.
