The sector however continues to face unprecedented levels of disruption: the drive to reduce absolute GHG emissions and the economic need to build resilience in the face of a changing climate.
The response – Agriculture Sector Change Scenarios and Adaptation Roadmaps - have been developed by agricultural leaders, climate science, policy, finance experts and Te Ao Māori, building on existing efforts to boost the sectors resilience, productivity, food security and export market strength.
This work aligns with New Zealand's National Adaptation Plan and supports compliance with the Climate-related Disclosures regime by offering a sector-level framework for risk assessment and scenario analysis.
