Our just-released Natural Capital Regional Resilience (NCR2) Report, developed with PwC New Zealand, represents a crucial step in helping the Bay of Plenty further understand current risks and barriers but also expected cascading and future impacts of climate threats across its systems.
The report, and a supporting framework for action, is designed to support a more unified, and proactive local response – a need that has never been greater or more urgent. By considering how the report’s findings resonate within your own world, sector and region, you can help position New Zealand to be more resilient to the climatic challenges ahead and ultimately strengthen our natural resources and natural buffers.
As NCR2 co-chair (and Indevin Group CEO) Simon Limmer says, “Through this work, we understand better understand the potential impacts we’re facing from the dual climate and nature crisis. We can see a look way down the path and better understand what impacts could mean for us. We can take a more cohesive response to it, and we're able to make investments today that will be meaningful for us tomorrow. “
