Public sector participation is critical to the success of any public–private partnership. That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Jeremy Lightfoot, Secretary and Chief Executive of the Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT), as a Guardian of The Aotearoa Circle Board.
Circle Board Co-Chair David Carter says Jeremy’s appointment further strengthens the balance of sector experience across the Board, following the recent appointments of Nic Blakely and Juliet Tainui-Hernandez.
"We are looking forward to Jeremy’s contribution to our Board as The Circle continues to expand its impact. He also joins at an important juncture as we will also welcome incoming CEO Alec Tang, commencing 28 September. "
Jeremy joined the newly formed MCERT in April after six years as Secretary for Corrections and Chief Executive of the Department of Corrections. His career spans senior leadership roles across operations, finance, technology and commercial functions, as well as local government and infrastructure project management roles in the UK.
